RE: How Often Do You Check Amazon For Free E Books?

I never check the free books on purpose.
If I notice that KUF friends or other writer friends have free books, I download them, but I have more than 100 Kindle books to read and plenty of paperbacks as well.
If I own too many unread books, I grow restless and confused and can't make up my mind where to start.
Writer of traditional crime fiction. My blog

Well, you definitely dont need to visit a site posted by someone who only just joined the forum today. You would probably end up with some trojan or something on your computer if you tried to download from sites like that.

You need to research your competition. That is exactly what DailyFreeBooks (owned by this forum) does.

I set up a bargain books site, and I deliberately made sure it was nothing like DailyFreeBooks, so I could offer something different from DailyFreeBooks because I have the greatest respect for Lou (the founder of KUF), who set it up.

I don't look for them either, although I will grab one if something interesting is promoted on here, Goodreads or IBB.

Thanks for the feedback Rosen Trevithick! I'll keep working on the site and maybe change it around a little to distinguish it from other sites like DailyFreeBooks which already provides a similar service. And claiming that my site contains trojans is pretty stupid as I don't offer any downloads. But thanks anyway for your feedback ElaineG.

I am not saying it is true in your case by any means, but it is not unusual for sites to come on here and promote various subjects and you find things appearing on your computer you do not want or need, so you can surely understand why there is some degree of scepticism when a new site appears that offers a service very similar in concept to something this forum already offers.
Only happy when I am immersed in a good Kindle book Thumbs Up

Yeah point taken. As I said it's still new so maybe I'll adapt it a bit and make sure it doesn't do literally the same thing as this forum's website. Thanks for your feedback.

I recently read an article about the pirate ebook websites, and it seems that if you try and buy a pirate ebook from  these dodgy sites, you don't actually get an ebook but a very nasty trojan on your computer - hence my scepticism!

Yes, makes sense. Either way, I just offer Amazon books and not any downloads, let alone illegal ones.
