Serious challenger to the Kindle?

Saw this review of a new e-reader today and it does look excellent. Whether it surpasses the kindle is open to debate!!

Look at the review, but the video tells the story better

Not sure if it is available in the UK or not, but it is priced at $139 which is around £87 at an exchange rate of 1.6 - so the price is very attractive

An interesting article and the Nook certainly sounds good.

I can't shake off the feeling that the author had some sort of agenda. He seems to have made a list of all the Kindle's functions and dished them one by one. How many times does he have to say "I never used the qwerty keyboard"? Well, guess what....some people find it very useful. Whilst yes, there are some experimental features on the Kindle, it still remains the best e-reader on the market that I've seen - and I've seen a few.

Isn't the Nook only available 'officially' in the US? It's a product of the Barnes & Noble bookstores, and I don't think they operate in this country. Could be wrong, though...

Worth bookmarking on your Kindle if you ever fancy a hoot.

..um, unless you're easily offended, that is.

..but no, it's okay. Really.

Thanks Lou for amending the link - I copied the http into it along with the web address.

They seem to be intent on getting a foothold. This was posted by "Engadget" today http://www.engadget.com...

Seems like they are prepared to give a large sum of money in the form of free books to get people to buy them.

Still not sure if they will be available in the UK though
