What I Read

Jeffrey Archer

I spotted Kane and Abel was free on Amazon a few weeks back and downloaded it.

I'd never read any of his books before so was quite surprised to find out how well he writes.

So thanks for a great "freebie" Amazon and my list of favourite authors has just grown. Thumbs Up

RE: Jeffrey Archer

I've read a few Jeffrey Archers years ago. I spotted that was free on Amazon, but it was only free for a few days.

What I Read

RE: Jeffrey Archer

I think Archer gets a bad press because he's a Tory. The fact that he's able to write well is often disregarded. I've read a few of his books and never been disappointed.

I've never tried a Jeffery Archer book, but I did grab a copy when it was Free. So I'll have to add this one to my ever growing "To Read" list

What I Read

RE: Jeffrey Archer

I think a lot readers dismiss him because they don't care for him as a person. I also read that he owes a lot to his editor.

What I Read

RE: Jeffrey Archer

I'm not a particular fan of Jeffrey Archer's writing, but you have to admire a man who made a fortune, lost it, and wrote a best selling novel to get himself out of debt. How many of us could do that?

People would like him more if he was less rich and successful.

He gets a bad press, not because he's a Tory, but because he's a convicted crinimal....Has done time!

Just because he does great parties with Cottage Pie & Krug, doesn't make him a 'good person'

Don't agree. Doing time never stopped anyone being popular. He's extremely arrogant and has used his connections to drag himself back up, The fact he has used his tory/upper class connections to do that is enough to get a lot of people's backs up.

He helped me out with the launch of The Curzon Group of thriller writers. He's a decent guy.
