Recommend me some Kindle books please. :-)

Hi All, well as I am about to embark on the
good ship Kindle hopefully later today I would
like some recommendations from you
good people regarding what you consider
a Great Kindle read in Fantasy and British Crime.
I may have already read the Wooden version
but I know Tons will have passed me by! :-)
My first buy will be 'A Game Of Thrones' that I am
already reading but it's flipping difficult
on the Jubilee line Sardine run every morning
and night. ;-)
So recommend away please guys. :-)

Peace,
Andrew.

How wonderful you will be getting your Kindle (hopefully) today Big Grin

A Game of Thrones is indeed a very good choice and a new book in the series is going to be released in July Big Grin
Now I don't really know what you will like, but I'll just name authors of books I really love. Katharine Kerr( Deverry series), Juliet Marillier( my most favourite series are the Sevenwater books and the Bridei Chronicles), Marion Zimmer-Bradley ( Darkover novels), Maggie Furey (Artefacts of Power books), Robert Jordan (Wheel of time), Terry Goodkind (Shannara), Jasper Fforde, Anne McCaffrey, Terry Brooks and Andre Norton. There are many, many more, but these are the ones I thought of first.

Enjoy your Kindle!! Big Grin

Do you read mysteries and thrillers? If so, I have several I can recommend. Smile

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susannah Clarke

Probably the best book I've read on my Kindle so far. A massive fantasy adventure about the rise of two powerful English sorcerers during the Napoleonic wars. Often quite funny, and just fantastic. Gets Kindle bonus point because the frequent footnotes are so easily accessible - and actually much easier to navigate than in a print book.

Worth bookmarking on your Kindle if you ever fancy a hoot.

..um, unless you're easily offended, that is.

..but no, it's okay. Really.

Hi Derek, thank you for that, as it happens I read that Tome when it was published
a few years ago.
Good book indeed. Clapping hands

Peace,
Andrew.
