What I Read

Praising my Kindle

So, I've finally caught up with all my household chores and huge backlog of work since returning from my holiday and now have time to sing the praises of my Kindle from the rooftops as it really has proved itself absolutely invaluable whilst I was away.

The 3G was faultless in Cyprus (and in fact had a better signal that I usually get in the UK) meaning I could read the latest news every day via the KUF feed system etc where everyone else was shelling out for UK newspapers, check my email and drop in to KUF as often as I liked and all compeletely free. My mobile phone provider kindly texted me when the plane landed to let me know that I could go online for just £3.80 per mb.

Reading in dazzling sunlight was no problem at all, and the light weight meant it went practically everywhere with me, and our luggage was considerably lighter than usual as we both normally take at least 3 books each on holiday.

Not that I had any doubts before, but I am now more certain than ever that my Kindle was the best purchase I have made in many years.

RE: Praising my Kindle

The two killers Ipad as far as I am concerned! Reading in bright sunlight and free foreign internet. As we spend up to 5 months a year abroad, it is a wonder box! Not to mention a complete library that is smaller than a paperback. No more weight issues with reading matter.
That is a good book which is opened with expectation and closed with profit.
