What is a ghostwriter?

A ghostwriter is someone who writes a text for which someone else gets the credit. For example, a ghostwriter writes a book, where not his own name, but the name of the client is on the cover. Ghostwriters are also used for speeches, blogs and columns, for example. Usually, the client pays the ghostwriter for his work, after which he transfers his copyright. Ghostwriters - the name says it all - are used to staying invisible. Nobody needs to know that as an author you have had help from a professional. People are more concerned about ghost writer price these days. What do you have to say about this?
