New free book on Amazon

This post was last modified: 24 Sep 2010 01:33 PM by Alex.
Hi all

I just received an email to say that this book Roseanna by Per Wahloo is free on amazon.

I've never come across this series before, perhaps because they were written in the 60s. This is the first in what is known as the Martin Beck series and they are about a swedish detective.

I love a good detective novel and it is free, so I thought I'd pass it along to you all in case it was of any interest.

Thanks for posting just downloaded it. What a good idea, first book in a series free so if you enjoy it there would be a good chance of you buy the rest. Why don't they do it with some of the other series?

My thoughts exactly Jacom. This series has obviously been around for a long time, it's a great way to introduce the books to new readers.

Thanks. Also downloaded and have had a look at the costs of some of the other books and they seem quite reasonable.

There's quite a useful site which will email you whenever there's a new free book listed on Amazon.

All you have to do is put your email address in the box on the right where it says GET NOTIFIED WHEN FREE TITLES ARE ADDED.

One advantage (or disadvantage I suppose) is that they aren't including Public Domain listings, so if you get an email there's a good chance that it will be a recent publication.

Enjoy! Big Grin

Thanks for posting the link, that was how I found out about this latest free book - probably should have included it in my original post.

This site will also allow you to track specific book titles and it will email you a notification if the price changes - might be handy for new releases that seem a bit expensive at first.

Thanks, I have downloaded this. The author was recommended to me a few years ago and I never got round to reading any of this books.

£2.99 for the others in the series seems very reasonable, as Ronnievamp says.
