Any way to permanently disable the sound level limit?

I periodically have to override the sound level limitation

This. Is fine for a while but after a time without any warning the level is reduced which very irritating when listening
Has anyone found a permanent fix to lock in the override of this behaviour?

?? it depends what your listenibg to , the sound out, is dependent on the sound going in, some stuff is very quite and the kindle amp isn't up to boosting it,

thatsaid there are sound boosters that override the settings, I have one on mine, but you need to be careful or if you put something that is actually loud at full volume you will wreck the speakers, no second chances,,  that's why its quiet e in the first place,  but even then some stuff  particularly show box needs the head phones or playing through the stereo, if it's a DVD or ripped off a DVD, then the sound will be set up for someone to play through there suriund sound player and the little kindindle is not up to that

this is what i use

Thanks your post and I will look into volume booster.

When I am preparing a my own filse for use on my FIRE I normalize the volume to 100% (using Audacity)

I always listen on headphones or via amplifier and speakers Having spent years trying to get good sound  I find the FIRE speakers
impossible to listen to.

I am beginning to wonder if my head phones are particularity insensitive. (Before you ask I have had a hearing test and do have the age related top frequency deterioration)

I would really like AMAZON to reconsider and provide a more nuanced solution eg ask the user on switch-on if they wish to continue with the current over-ride.

Give this a try, it's a " hearing test, that boosts individual frequencies, instead of the full volume across the spectrum,  and matches the kindle to your earphones and your ear phones to your ears
