Hello from a New User and Writer

Hi,

I would like to introduce myself and say Hello.

I was born in India and grew up there and later emigrated to the U.S. My books have been published in India, in the UK, and in a few other countries--in the UK by Fourth Estate, which published the hardcover and paperback versions of my novel "The Revised Kama Sutra."

I am at the moment in a place where Kindles are rare (I saw my first one just 2 weeks back), but am now publishing new books on Kindle, and my recent Kindle publications include

http://www.amazon.co.uk...

http://www.amazon.co.uk...

and others.

I look forward to being a member of this Forum.

Hi Susanne, Talli,

Thank you for your welcome.

I wish to clarify, too, that though I once had the backing of good publishers, all that is now history--perhaps because I made more than a few mistakes. I am now significantly poorer than nearly all my Indian writer peers, and am putting my hopes in the Amazon Kindle phenomenon to rescue me from a pretty bad mess.

As an independent writer (eight books, only 2 with "regular" publishers and limited to just one country, and no big advances yet), I look forward to your help and friendship.

My website, by the way (have not yet figured out how to get a signature): http://www.richardcrasta.com

Richard

Make sure you have a look on our Authors & Publishers board, where our indie authors promote and discuss their work.

Good luck! Smile
