What I Read

Scrivener

For those who write, I find Scrivener invaluable in the conversion to ebook process.

I was able to compile my manuscript in mobi format and ebook format easily. I checked each for formatting issues using emulators or online as I uploaded to sites I'm selling on. No errors! Even over at Smashwords. In fact, with only the one pass, I made it into the premium catalog!

Yeah. Scrivener is awesome.

Otherwise, Calibre is excellent for organizing ebooks. Haven't had to use it for tweaking yet.

I used Scrivener during my Uni studies, it made life so much easier. I haven't used it very much since but would definitely recommend it. For Authors I'd say it's well worth a look.

Scrivener is Mac software but there is now also Scrivener for Windows beta

Sounds like well worth a look. I will make a note to look at it. Did you first have to complete the US Tax form to be able to get on to the Premium catalogue, 'cos that is what is holding mine up.
