What I Read

Wink Hi - I'm KK, and I have just joined. Haven't a clue what I'm doing.

I am an avid reader, and am particularly interested in anything about Africa.  I also scribble a bit myself, and have published a couple of books and several series of short stories.  'Only Africa Knows'  is one.  ....... His Grandpa's Garden will be FREE DOWNLOAD on Sst & Sunday this week.  Will be back when I understand a little more of how the forum works !

RE: Hi - I'm KK, and I have just joined. Haven't a clue what I'm doing.

Sorry, I can't find where to start a 'New Thread' .......

A new series of illustrated,, rhyming African fables / bedtime stories is being released on Kindle.  THEY ARE NOT MINE.

The author is Susan Colquhoun , who has also illustrated them (exquisitely).  The first of the fourteen stories has now been released on Kindle at £ 0.99.  It is called   'The Wonderful World of Kulalabuloo' , and it is absolutely SUPERB !

It is not just for children.  I predict that anyone who gets his/her hands on the first story will demand all the rest, and that it will be one of the children's book 'FINDS' of 2017'

Have a  free 'LOOK INSIDE' on Amazon, and tell me if you think I am wrong !

Hi, if you are interested in books in Africa, maybe you like this page I have found. It is an interesting page both for Authors and Readers. In my case, I already submitted my book to the page, it is free to get listed. Hope you like it and you can find new books to read:

Hi, KK!

Welcome to Kboards!  I learned BUNCHES from all these nice people when I joined. I'm just now getting back on here after being gone for a while.

Best wishes,

Just to point out that this site is NOT Kboards, it's the Kindle Users Forum (KUF). We're smaller but cuter!

RE: Hi - I'm KK, and I have just joined. Haven't a clue what I'm doing.

Duh! So sorry! I've been back and forth looking at both sites the last few days because I hadn't  been on either site for almost two years. This Thursday I'm doing a workshop for a writing group I belong to, and I needed to re-learn how to "navigate" within each site. I'm also "demonstrating" the use of Facebook, LinkedIn. Goodreads, and Amazon Author Central.

I'm not nervous about the workshop because they are a wonderful group of folks (like the folks on KUF!), And I've done workshops for our group before (mostly on poetry). But I would prefer to look like I know what I'm doing. Hopefully I will not confuse Kboards and KUF in the workshop since I have prepared a handout with descriptions of the six things I'm going to be demonstrating!

Best wishes,
Leslie
