RE: Amazon paperbacks

I think that probably they wish to break away with Createspace - which is different company at any case, they are associated, but Createspace is not Amazon - and make everything under the KDP umbrella. But till now I have just heard bad comments of people who tried the KDP paperback. I think i will wait till they improve it. It is still beta version. At any case, for the print version the new layout of the original is still required, adapt to odd and even pages, remove links, adapt to new paper size, adapt back cover, etc... I do not think they get that magic with just push a button, but let´s see...

RE: Amazon paperbacks

I'm currently looking at producing an anthology of five of my KDP ebooks so am considering this as an option. That said, someone recommended Lightning Source to me as a possible alternative. Has anyone here experimented both with Lightning Source and the new KDP paperback facility? I'd be interested in hearing about the relative merits of the two.

RE: Amazon paperbacks

It's going to be quite confusing if you can put your paperback through CreateSpace and/or Amazon. It would be wonderful if it reduced the postage costs to Australia but I'm not very hopeful.
