Queen Boudicca's rebellion - 1st century Brexit?

Inspired by Brexit, I have just republished my 1st century version about Queen Boudicca's rebellion 'Empire of the Hare'. This story was shortlisted for the Library of Avalon Geoffrey Ashe Prize in 1998 and is being published on my signature list for older readers. It might just make you glad we live in the 21st.

Congrats on the new release, Katherine! I remember that this was very nearly in the Off the KUF anthology. I really enjoyed reading it back then and I'm sure it will do well now - it's a terrific story. Lovely cover too.

Kath, hope you like! I am halfway through your excellent Stir-up Sunday (wondering if I will ever get that pudding made in time for Xmas dayBig Grin) and will review when I am done.

Thanks David - yes, I decided to change the KUF story in the end because of my publisher asking me to write a younger story about Boudicca for a children's anthology they were doing at the same time. They were concerned about a possible clash.  But they've since been taken over by a bigger company and are no longer publishing fiction so I don't see why this one should stay hidden under my bed... did the cover at Canva.

Just finished, Katherine. So different from the usual portrayal! Will be reviewing - but baking my head off today!

It was a shame but the story of yours we did feature, Rubies, was just as good! I'm glad Empire is getting a chance to reach a wide audience now, it certainly deserves to.
