Help- left on charge and gone on hols!

This post was last modified: 22 Oct 2016 01:56 PM by Sahara85.
Hi there, apologies if a similar question has been posted before. I left for holiday this morning and put my Paperwhite on charge, with the intention of unplugging and packing it before leaving. Stupid me completely forgot to unplug it in the chaos of getting a toddler ready; the earliest I can get a house key to my neighbour so that they can unplug it is Tuesday (Saturday now). I'm not back until next Friday. I called Amazon for advice and the man said max. recommended charge time is 2 days and no more- this is not helpful Sad can anyone advise or make me feel less panicky about it potentially overheating? Many thanks.

Sorry, but I don't have a paper white. I hope someone can help. It'll spoil your holiday worrying, otherwise.

Thanks for replying. I don't mind if the kindle gets damaged, just really worried it's a fire risk Sad

I don't know for sure but I think if it were a fire risk there would have been warnings all over the media. Relax and enjoy your holiday, it is unlikely to happen.
