New Amazon policy requires reviewers to spend $50 ?

There is a discussion on the KBoards about a new policy requiring reviewers to spend $50 before they can post a review. Not sure if it is true, but it might be a policy to try to weed out all the review scams. Is there anything on Amazon UK about it?

A lot of countries have to use Amazon.com, but it's too costly to buy anything other than e-books because of the shipping costs, so I'm unlikely to be able to review. But if it means getting rid of the scammers it will be worth it  Smile.

I'm sure it just means you have to have spent £50 overall on your account. No problem there!

If getting rid of scammers is the reason, I agree it is a good idea.
