Are we about to have another super Saturday (well early Sunday morning) of 3 golds? Or is that brilliant Belgian, Nafissatou Thiam, poised to upset our ladies in the heptathlon?

We've had some great cycling and again, I've been addicted to the weightlifting. There's something mesmerising about it. Commentating on which ones are definately on drugs, which ones are short-arses, why some have 2 in their entourage and some four.

The hockey was exciting in the last 10 minutes.

I'm finding so many empty seats in the Olympic stadium disappointing. They really need to start giving more of the tickets away to the people in the favelas.

RE: Olympic Games, Rio 2016

Having spent the morning sailing with my daughters, we were engrossed in the Laser and 49ers yesterday afternoon.
The course was pretty boring though, the same two marks over and over. I wonder if the offshore course had more variety?

We saw a bit of the 49ers (I think). We had no idea what was happening as some were going to the right of screen, some to the left and then it was carnage when they went round the marker.

In the RS.X just now they picked even more wildly different routes. Great to watch if you have an idea what is going on, totally confusing, I expect, if you don't.
But then that's the same for most team sports too. If I hadn't coached it a bit, as a Limey I wouldn't understand American Football.

Definitely agree, but no one in Rio is listening to us George.

What a gruelling and tense match for Andy Murray with del Potro to win his back-to-back gold medal.
