Sub Chapters - to use or not to use?

Hi, I'd like your thoughts & advice please. My novel contains ten chapters, all rather short (on average about fifteen pages with the longest twenty five). Do I use sub chapters or leave them out? Personally I don't like them but am aware of the whole reader navigation issue. Having read  a few ebook novels recently with an eye for such detail I noticed that they were absent.

Thoughts please....

RE: Sub Chapters - to use or not to use?

I think that with chapters of that length, there's no necessity to add sub-chapters. Most readers will consider your chapters to be short to medium length.

But there may be other reasons why you wish to break them down. If there are shifts in time, location or character perspective within each chapter, you can denote these by having an asterisk or other symbol inbetween each section. They don't need to be actual numbered sub-chapters though.
