RE: Happy Christmas Kuffers!

Joyous Boxing Day everyone. I'm hoping to get through the day without breaking anything.

Yesterday's tally: My favourite mug, the dinner (technically it was the plate that broke, on impact with the kitchen floor. But since Christmas dinner was attached . . . Mk 2 dinner was microwave curry from the freezer), and the central heating. (apparently it's something called a diverter valve. £40 from Wickes and about £250 for someone competent to fit it)

Still, got The Beano Annual to read, which takes me back quite a few decades . . . ! Smile

They say things go in threes, Tim, so that should be the last of your breakages. Hope you have a really good day today, there's some good telly on tonight (when I'm out!).
OK, own up, who else has put on weight in just the one day?

I have been given the complete set of Dad's Army  for Christmas - 9 series plus the Christmas Specials. I think this actually wraps my viewing up for about a year.

RE: Happy Christmas Kuffers!

The Beano Annual and 'Dad's Army'! Fantastic.
One of my best presents was a DVD of 'Dougal and the Blue Cat' which is a brilliant film.
We had a jolly time yesterday and watched the two award-winning short films I've probably mentioned umpteen times, to which 3 of those present had contributed in various ways. One of them had a Christmas theme, although filmed during our weekend of summer, in May.
There was still time when we got home for me to do an initial read-through of my NaNo novel! I enjoyed that more than expected.

I hope everyone here is safe from floods, as I see on the news they are quite a bit more widespread this time. We've had torrential rain here all day so far but fortunately we are some way from the nearest river.
