The Legend of Genghis Khan - book 1 FREE until April 25th!

This post was last modified: 20 Apr 2017 03:55 PM by Katherine Roberts.
The Legend of Genghis Khan is  being published under my middle initial 'Katherine A Roberts' to distinguish this series from my books for younger readers. Older teenagers probably won't blush too much, but I'm posting it here because I see this project as more adult/historical than young adult.

Based on the 13th century 'Secret History of the Mongols', the Legend of Genghis Khan takes the form of linked novellas, each told from the viewpoint of one of the main characters in the Secret History, starting with the young Khan himself. The books cover a period of twelve years (a complete cycle of the Mongolian animal calendar) and have a spiritual aspect based on shamanism... no sexy werewolves here, but possibly an explanation of where such legends came from?

Book 1: Prince of Wolves - Temujin's story (the young Khan)

Book 2: Bride of Wolves - Borta's story (his first wife by arranged marriage)

Book 3: Blood of Wolves - Jamukha's story (his blood brother)

Note: Since all three books cover the same time period, you'll get the basic story by reading just one of the novellas, but reading the other two books will provide more depth and fill in the missing links... would love to know what you think!

What I Read

RE: The Legend of Genghis Khan - Book 3 out now!

I have just published the third book of this trilogy, which tells Jamukha's side of the story:

       BLOOD OF WOLVES

This book ends in 1206, when Temujn was crowned 'Genghis' Khan of all the people who live in felt tents.
I am vaguely thinking of a fourth book written from the point of view of Temujin's sister, but that will move the story on through the next 12 years of Genghis Khan's rule (and might take me another 12 years to write!)... so for now the trilogy is complete. I hope you enjoy it.
