RE: The Art of Forgetting by Julie McLaren - free promotion seems to have helped

Not this time, it would seem. None of my other novels are doing any better than previously. They tend to sell in fits and starts anyway. However, a previous KDP countdown deal for 'The Butterfly Effect' gave 'Chickens' a much-needed boost so I'm not sure I would draw any conclusions from my experience.

I've not done a countdown deal yet, I'm a bit rubbish when doing some of these promotions. I do the free giveaways but a countdown I haven't tried.

Worth trying, I think, Matt. I've noticed that following a KCD the KU blue graph lines soar and continue plodding for some weeks after. Also the other book seems to get a small boost. However, Julie is so right - fits and starts and you can never tell!

RE: The Art of Forgetting by Julie McLaren - high in free charts

The Art of Forgetting is free at present and climbed into the top 100 - 33 the highest spot - yesterday. Naturally, it was featured on Book Hippo. So now hundreds of people have downloaded it and presumably some of them will read it at some point. Can't ask for more than that, can you?
