Well done! There's nothing like a good review to raise the spirits.

I'd love to review this book. It's simply lovely. But I fear it might not look credible, because Katie and I work together. (Even though I would mean every last superlative.)

Thanks, Rosen. I feel the same about yours. I don't feel I can do reviews for anyone that I've done covers for either, though I think I did review Lynda's first and Stuart's, too. But I had a different user name then. Amazon don't seem to have noticed, but though I've loved a lot of the books I've done covers for, I don't want to chance Amazon banning me. Sad

What I Read

RE: Famous Animals - a whole new experience.

Now that I FINALLY have a supply of books from the printer (it only took four months to get it right!), things are starting to go more the way I hoped with Famous Animals Volume 1. I took a supply into town the other day and went into the school where I used to work. The library teacher and principal had both asked for copies when I got them. I ended up selling a few more as well there. Then I went to the local Tourist Bureau and they bought two to sell on. More went into another shop run by a friend, one to the Town Library and then friends on Facebook and Goodreads from all over Australia started asking me to send signed copies. I went into the post office when it was rather busy, so only picked up a few of the post packs I needed, but the lady behind the counter insisted that she go and get me twenty (I could hear the collective groan from the queue behind me) because 'they're much cheaper that way.' Now I know exactly how much it costs to send one or two copies, which just  fit through the slot that designates them as 'letters' rather than parcels.
It's certainly getting a much better reception than any of my other books - maybe because it's so much easier to just 'look at' rather than read? Or maybe because they like the pictures, so they're not afraid it might be rubbish, which seems to be the problem with my novels. This book writing/selling business is very confusing.

This book comes into that precious category of things to read WITH rather than TO a child. I think that's where you've cracked it.
