Be my guest!

Hi everyone,

I am pressing ever onwards with my first ebook. I am thinking about offering it for free for an unlimited time just so it may then appeal to more readers. My main objective is just to get my work read (& hopefully enjoyed) however I have a question.

Is it possible to change your book from free to paid for at a time of your own choosing should you wish to do so?

RE: Be my guest!

As far as I know, you can't go perma-free on Amazon. A way to do it is to offer your book for free in other outlets, such as Smashwords or Apple, and hope Amazon will price match.

Interesting stuff, thank you. That being the case I may well just go down the normal free for a limited period before making a nominal charge. Then again I may get all greedy & charge a couple of quid!

Others may well disagree, but my   feeling is that people are more likely to actually read your book if they've paid for it -- even if it's a nominal 99p. Good luck with it whatever you decide to do!
