Anyone watching this? I feel distressed for Christal/Cole whose parents can't agree which way to go, so she is Christa at home and he is Cole at school. Please get your act together parents.

I wasn't aware that this was on but surely it's for the child to come across their true gender as they develop. I guess it's hard for parents to treat their child as genderless until then, though. It must be so awful to be someone else in the wrong body.

Having heard more from Cole/Christal, s/he sounds quite comfortable in her/his skin at the moment, so maybe gender is irrelevant for now.

It must be difficult; if it's not difficult now it will be later. Is it worth watching, George?

I found it really interesting, partly because what I am currently working on involves an element of this. I also like Louis's approach in coaxing out answers.

This is a book on a similar theme. I believe BBC made a programme based on the book after it was published 14 years ago. Shocking stuff.

I seem to recall hearing about this. I'll see if I can get the book from the library.
