What I Read

Boswell's Lives

This is neither film, nor television, but radio.
May I recommend 'Boswell's Lives' on BBC Radio4? The theme is that James Boswell, who achieved fame as the biographer of Dr Johnson, has become a time traveller and is looking for celebrities to interview in the hope of writing more biographies.
In a series of just three programmes the first (last Wednesday at 11.30 a.m.) was 'Boswell's Life of Freud'; this week it will be 'Boswell's Life of Callas', and next week 'Boswell's Life of Pinter'.
I found the first one very funny. It's available on iPlayer. Listen out for Freud's interpretation of Boswell's dream about a melon and a cauliflower.
