RE: NEW CHANNEL : D2D now distributes to Oyster

I think the subscription channels are just another option for people to use - I don't get enough sales (yet! - the eternal optimist) from Scribd to make me conclude they are killing my Kobo sales, for instance.
Something called 'Overdrive' made a brief appearance in my Smashwords sales thingy the other day - not sure how that one works.

If someone isn't on a subscription they can buy the book.
Does anyone know what the arrangement is from Oyster if someone on a subscription downloads a book?

Cecilia: Overdrive supplies libraries with e-books, and Smashwords has an agreement with them.

I sell similar amounts on Scribd and Oyster (both via Smashwords) - modest numbers, but every little helps! Overdrive does slightly better.

Gordon: via Smashwords (D2D will probably be similar) Oyster pays 70% - downloads are treated like sales. They don't have a partial payment for "Browses" as Scribd do.
