What do you think of this picture/saying?

This post was last modified: 06 Oct 2014 07:38 PM by Santos.
I made this one a while back for a Facebook post but have received little feedback on it, so I'm curious what you all think.

Yay or nay?

I was hoping to use it as an element of my back cover (once i get around to making one), it may also make its way onto a mug at some point (just for me, not a sales thing, though if anyone wants it I'll be happy to share the picture so you can make your own)

Visually, I've always liked that symbol you use on the book cover, and this looks both sinister and attractive - quite a feat!

In all honesty, I'm not so keen on the actual quote though. It feels a little clunky and doesn't really trip off the tongue. Are there any alternative quotes you could try?

I have to agree with David. I like the symbol, but the quote doesn't quite work. I get what he's trying to say, but it sounds like it's trying too hard.

Glad you like the symbol, and that it get’s the right message across.

I can't think of any other quotes off hand that would fit into the available space, though i suppose i could drop the first 7 words and still retain the basic message "Your perception of reality doesn't change the reality of existence."

The character that says this has a tendency to intentionally overcomplicate explanations.

Le Mug... (or, at the very least, the picture that would get wrapped around said mug)

Note: the actual picture is considerably bigger, this one was scaled down for forum purposes

Maybe try losing one of the 'reality's?

To me it sounds like he's saying that it doesn't matter what they believe - if that's the case then maybe play on 'faith can move mountains'?

That would be because that is exactly what he's saying. The translation to standard English would be 'no amount of belief can change a fact'.

I can't really change it without rewriting the passage in the book were it shows up, not much of a quote otherwise
Besides, i like the wording as is. It's intended to make people think about the meaning behind the words, not just give the answer away (no fun in that) Smile
