I find the paperwhite light and very easy to use with one hand when the occasion demands - eg whilst reading in the bath!

Thanks for the advice, everyone. It's a good idea to try them out first - though it will be hard to recreate conditions of use (i.e. lying on one's side whilst holding product one-handed) in Argos, Tesco, or wherever!  It may be the only way I ever hit the headlines. Wink

If anyone is considering the new basic Kindle, I'd check out the reviews first. It sounds like it's actually a significant downgrade from the Kindle 4.
