Shadow Core - The Legacy Countdown Deal (50% Off, 99p)

Shadow Core - The Legacy Kindle Countdown deal is now Live - 50% Off, £0.99

In a future where humanity has broken the shackles that confined it to the solar system, opportunities abound for those willing to take risks.

Kade, whose adventurous spirit borders on insanity, unwittingly leads her crew into the middle of a centuries old conflict between the Solarian Union and an ancient spaceship with a dark past, as she strives to fulfil a promise made to her grandfather.

Events take a turn for the unexpected as Kade begins to wonder if Drake, the sole crew member on a ship run by the legendary Artificial Intelligence 'NEXUS', is actually human. And the Solarian Union makes its move.

What I Read

Shadow Core - The Legacy (4th Edition)

Shadow Core - The Legacy is now in its 4th Edition
My thanks to everyone who has provided feedback. I would not have been able to get to this stage if not for you Smile
Change highlights:
  • 'The Prologue' has been removed (reader feedback identified it as a barrier/hurdle).
  • 'The Glimpse' section was also removed (reported as being surplus to requirements).
  • All semi-colons were summarily executed. I repeat, the book is now a semi-colon free zone.
  • Dialogue and action tags were improved & simplified so as to not detract from the story.
  • And last but certainly not least, grammatical complexity was reduced across the book.

What I Read

Shadow Core - The Legacy

Greetings everyone,

It has been a while since i last posted, and i hope everyone has been doing well.
10 months ago i published my first book, and today i can finally say 'it's finished'. Weird right?
What i mean to say is that i finally managed to find an Editor that would take on my little project, and I have spent the last few months making sure it is as good as it can be. It was a long bumpy road, and i can't help but smile when i think of just how naive i was when i started down this path, but it has certainly been a trip to remember.

As part of my agreement for the Editing service, a portion of the proceeds from sales will go to my Editor's favorite charity: CAFOD
(It was actually supposed to be a nominal donation, but i thought this was more appropriate since she decided to take on the job without the prospect of personal gain in mind)

I hope you enjoy the story Smile
----------------

It is the 107th year of the 4th Galactic age, and humanity is no longer shackled by the light speed limitation.

The Dead Zone appeared in the Sol system at the dawn of the 4th Age, and to this day it serves as a perpetual reminder of a dark moment in human history: the battle that claimed the lives of thousands and disrupted the very fabric of space.
The conflict was brief but devastating, leaving behind the shattered fragments of the Solarian Union’s Second Fleet, the lifeless hulls of a convoy of civilian ships and countless questions about who or what could have been responsible for such an atrocity.

Nearly a century later, Kade's destiny is forever altered when she steps inside an ancient 'derelict' spaceship located at the heart of the Dead Zone.

What secrets does the 'derelict' hold?
And why does the Union seek to destroy it?

Nice back cover! (And front too, but this is the first time I've seen the back.)

Glad to hear your editor added some value to the book.

She certainly did that... and then some Smile
It was a down right eye opening and humbling experience to see the mistakes i was making. Good fun too.
