Short review of Sigizmund Krzhizhanovsky's Seven Stories

This post was last modified: 02 Jul 2014 04:26 PM by Joyce Yarrow.
Rarely do I read stories that make me feel I have been transported to deep within the mind of a genius and am experiencing a transformed reality.

This is the case with Sigizmund Krzhizhanovsky's Seven Stories - http://www.amazon.co.uk... This writer is an unsung hero who stayed true to his vision during repressive times. I'm grateful to GLAS New Russian Writing, for bringing out the first English translation of these 7 fantastic tales.

Krzhizhanovsky has been compared to Borges and Gogol. His voice effortlessly hops from the absurd to the humorous to the deeply philosophical.

Note: This book is available in print but not yet available for the Kindle.. hopefully it will be soon.
