RE: We found a Kindle!

All the more reason for Amazon to have made some effort to return it to them. I know how I would feel if it had been my Kindle. Sad
Only happy when I am immersed in a good Kindle book Thumbs Up

That would have been the "customer-centric" thing to do. Perhaps you should forward the reply to Steve Besos and add a question mark to the end...
that is a good idea!

Althought I called him Jeff, I didn't think calling him Steve would go down a treat LOL
Meh, what do you expect from before my first coffee of the day. Mind you, it could explain why I never had a reply from Jeff Jobs...

RE: We found a Kindle!

I actually put my name and address in the settings of mine with a note saying "if you find this Kindle please return it to..." though I doubt everyone is as honest as you, Elaine! If I lost mine, I think I'd assume the worst and cancel my account quick before someone tried to use it to order a whole pile of things from amazon.

On the other hand, since it was an anonymous Kindle, maybe the owner was doing an e-form of book-crossing? (i.e. when people leave old copies of books lying around in cafes etc for other readers to find.) There used to be a website, I think, tracking how far the books went. With Kindles book-crossing could take on a whole new meaning... "library-crossing", maybeKindle Smile
