What I Read

RE: Free newspapers and mags for the Kindle

I've had to switch to webtoread after the demise of Kindleman. It's very poor by comparison. The site does not display so well on the Kindle, it does not use cookies so you have to log in every time (tricky with a Kindle keyboard), and you cannot download direct to your Kindle but have to use send to Kindle via Amazon which is slow and really means switching off your wifi to save battery. Last Sunday I tried for the Observer at 1100 UK time and ended up with the previous week's edition. Looks like it's organised round UK publication times but might be US.

Might just as well use calibre, though that takes about 5 mins to process the Observer on the hoof.
