Tiny payments from Amazon

Trying to prepare my annual accounts. Thanks to Amazon, I have dozens of payments for 25p and 65p. Grr.

I've got that fun to come next month. I've managed to avoid doing a tax return for my whole (rather long) working life, and ain't looking forward to it. But yes, I got a 24p .

Facebook's as bad. If you run a campaign over three days, they seem to manage to split it into five payments.

This is one reason I prefer to get a cheque when my royalty balance exceeds £100. It means longer between payments but they feel more satisfying when they come through Smile

It's a pain in the ass to be honest. It's a great idea for big name authors shifting hundreds/thousands of units a day, but for VERY small fry (like me) it means various miniscule payments being deposited into my bank account. Another ill thought out idea from The Mighy Zon. Undecided

RE: Tiny payments from Amazon

I've had four emails from Amazon this week. All of them stating I'd earned nothing from sales in Japan.
I didn't need telling to be honest.

RE: Tiny payments from Amazon

I might moan about a lot of things, but never about people paying me money. I've had two coffees of Amazon this month, and if I'd had to wait for £100 in the kitty (funny how Amazon isn't prepared to wait for me to buy £100 of stuff before they want paying!), I'd still be waiting from last June!

Bottom line, money in is money in. Every little helps... Wink
