RE: FB Book Launch Parties

Really helpful - thank you.
I think this could be a lot of fun and now making a list:
Chocolate fountain, bouncers....the 18th century equivalent of disco music....chairs for the wallflowers, champagne...
I'm going to give it a go just for the hell of it.
I've set up a page here:
https://www.facebook.com/foxhallseries?ref=hl
and of course you are all cordially invited to attend <3

See, that's the problem... I'm never home on a Saturday! (I guess other days are available, but everyone seems to hold them on Saturdays).

Nice one Grace, I'll be there! However, can I suggest you make this a Facebook event, and have everyone post onto the event for the party? That way you can directly invite everyone you know on Facebook, get an idea of numbers and also guests will have a reminder pop up on the day.

Sorry I didn't mention this before - oops!

Good luck with the launch!

If you're on Goodreads then you can create an event and invite your friends on there as well.

I was wondering how tp get a 'join' button for people to accept and also post their own comments.
Looks like I've created a page rather than event - back to the drawing board.
Will have another go...

PS - the cat resting on the book cover is another promo idea I'm trying out. I've enlisted my son's help. He's used some public domain images that include books and photoshoped the book cover onto them. I'm going to post on social media, one pic a day in the countdown to the book's release. This is working on the theory that people have to see a cover 7 times before buying - curious to see if this tactic helps. For previous releases I've been so excited to get the files back I published the same day. This time I'm being more circumspect and - ahem - planning ahead.

OK - turns out it's just as easy to start an event - Here is the proper link (sorry about the false start)
https://www.facebook.com...

Again, you are all invited - feel free to BYOB - although refreshments will be provided.
