Thank you, thank you, and thank you.

The cover is the work of Nadica Boshkovska. She digitally painted all three of the DCI Morton covers. I have no doubt the covers are one of the reasons we've had the results we have. Her portfolio is on DeviantArt ( http://theswanmaiden.deviantart.com/ ) if you want to see more of her work/ hire her. She's fast, reliable and competitively priced considering how much work goes into each illustration.

I think the cover is great, too. Very atmospheric in the right way. Link to the designer doesn't work for me, though.

Congrats on the 20K copies - green with envy!

BTW, are you the less attractive one or the less intelligent one? I went to college in Portsmouth (back then it was a poly, not a uni), but moved to Oxford the year before one of you was born. There's no connection between those facts (as far as I'm aware).

Sorry. I missed a space before the bracket. Fixed.

If you believe my little brother then both. Ah which one? 87 or 94? Just as long as it was a full year and not 9 months.

87. Not long after the big storm, which severely damaged the building where I worked in Cosham, and put me "in search of a job"

No, in those days I was an electronics engineer. It was a small company that made CCTV cameras (the old tube kind, CCD sensors were only just coming in) & microwave barriers. We more or less overlooked the IBM campus -- which was great when they filmed Dr Who there!

RE: Cleaver Square - 20,000 copies sold.

Cleaver Square will be going on it's first-ever free run from tomorrow for 5 days. Since launch it's managed just shy of 30,000 sales, plus ~5000 or so equivalent KU reads, so I'm hoping to hit the ground running with the free run. At the time of this post it's got just over a hundred and thirty reviews, a 4.6 average and is ranked approx 1000 in store, so we'll be giving up a fair number of actual sales during the free run. The upside is this is the first time we'll be running a freebie which is also in KU, so borrows might offset the lost revenue/ advertising costs.

We have a fairly good marketing plan lined up for it including BookBub, BookSends, One Hundred Free Books, eReader IQ, Digital Book Today, FreeBooksy, Kindle Nation Daily, Robin Reads, FKBT, Genre Cave, Riffle Select and many more. We've put the whole plan on the blog so anyone who wants to can track which work and which don't.

The ads are spread out, with a chunk landing tomorrow (inc the banner ad here) and then BookBub hitting on Tuesday.

Any bets for total free download count?

Looking forward to see how it pans out.

With that sales history and marketing plan, I wouldn't be surprised if you hit top 10 overall.

Good luck.
