Dragons, daring deeds, romance, and no darned elves - 99p this week

This post was last modified: 09 Oct 2014 08:28 AM by LexiRevellian.
Another not entirely genre-specific novel from me. I set out to write as much of a page turner as an early Dick Francis, with an intelligent but slightly naive heroine. Remix spent eight months in the UK Kindle top 100, and has sold more than 32,000 copies.

Caz Tallis restores rocking horses in her London workshop. When shabby but charismatic Joe and his dog turn up on her roof terrace, she is reluctantly drawn into investigating a rock star’s murder from three years before – an unsolved case the police have closed. Which, as her best friend James says, is rather like poking a furnace with a short stick…

Oracle, AMAZON VINE VOICE REVIEWER, wrote: “This is a highly addictive novel, a good old-fashioned murder mystery with a dash of 21st century celebrity glamour. I struggled to put it down. Lexi Revellian is great at crafting a plot that moves at speed but her biggest talent is in creating characters that the reader can really care about, characters that seem like old friends as the novel draws to a close. Overall, Remix is great fun, extremely entertaining and - dare I say it - would make an excellent transition to the small or big screen.”

Currently 72p.

The Hungarian edition of Remix launched today, with an exciting new cover including a surprisingly sultry Caz and a smoking gun.

Cool.

Thank you, sujay. Könyvmolyképző Kiadó, my Hungarian publishers, are going to send me some copies, but not till the end of June. I can't wait.

Tricky language, Hungarian. Kiadó means publisher. That is the only Hungarian word I know.

It was one of my first Kindle reads too - excellent stuff. I wasn't reviewing then and my memory isn't good enough to try and do them so far in arrears - but it's a cracker!

According to Google, Hungarian is Magyar in Hungarian - but maybe that's just a Hungarian person? Any Hungarian kuffers here?
