I haven't had a chance to start reading yet but when I do, I'm going to start with Sanctuary because I read and enjoyed it when it was a monologue and am interested to see how it's been developed into a short story.

RE: The discussion of Off The Kuf Volume I (contains spoilers)

I've read random stories here and there so far and at this point the outstanding stories for me have been Rosen's two connected ones. I thought that was a really clever idea, and both were great reads.

I've reviewed it and put it on my blog.

If you are a one-genre reader then you won’t get much from a mixed anthology such as this but if you are a pick-and-mix person and enjoy several genres, even those stories that don’t fall neatly into one category, then this is your book! Buy it now!

I am a member of the forum which produced this anthology and the variety of stories which were offered is tremendous. Some are by favourite indie authors of mine so I knew I was in for a treat with at least part of the book. I resisted the temptation to dip and go for those first and I have to say that the order of presentation has been carefully thought out. It’s a real opportunity to savour those you know you will enjoy while trying out new flavours. There are now authors whose work I had never encountered before who will have me lurking on their author pages to see what else they have published!

The book is of very high standard and I enjoyed almost all and was actually excited by some! It’s a chunky read too – excellent value. Don’t miss it – the world will be talking about it!

Disclaimer – I’m in it! Wink

RE: The discussion of Off The Kuf Volume I (contains spoilers)

I have no idea what order I read them. Dodgy Dave went and mixed them up. The original first story is now in the second book and I found it hard going. Dave then asked me which one to put in first and I refused to say apart from to have a lighter, interesting one. Much as I love David Hayne's work and story, I didn't think that would have been a first one.

The one story I didn't like I was told it's like Irvine Welsh. Well I went to have a look at that and boy do I NOT like Irvine Welsh !!!. What a pile of pants.

RE: The discussion of Off The Kuf Volume I (contains spoilers)

Just bought my copy. Had a little bit of trouble as I am currently in the UK and my kindle is registered in the US, but got there in the end. I'm looking forward to giving it all my attention on Thursday when I am taking a bus to Paris. Seems like I'm doing nothing but travelling these days.
