Pricing book for FREE

This post was last modified: 05 Oct 2013 09:31 AM by M.Ali.
Hi guys,

I've seen a few books which are indefinitely free, however I can't seem to find any option which allows me to give away the first in a series for free. I've seen a couple of methods courtesy of Google but they seem quite long i.e. have to wait over a month after submission to other places in order to price match.Pondering

Does anybody know of a simpler way?

The method is easy, but the results are inconsistent.

1 - Put the book on another site for free (Smashwords/Draft2Digital).
2 - Use the 'Tell us about a lower price' button, and get others to do the same.
3 - In time Amazon will probably price-match, but not definitely, and swap back and forth a bit, depending upon many things, like the tides and God knows what else.

Hope this helps.

Did anyone actually manage this through Draft2Digital? When I look at the menu, the lowest price allowed seems to be $0.99 so how could you manage to get it as free? Would be useful to know if it is possible, because it would help decide if D2D is of any benefit/use at all.

Yes it does thanks, I think it'll take a bit of time but I think I might be able to sort that out.
