Nook £29 @ Blackwell's

In one of many useful (spam) emails I spotted this......
http://bookshop.blackwell.co.uk...
Bargain price for an ereader. I've never owned one so no idea what they are like.

I still ♥ my Kindle, but I would consider trying one if it was on it's way out.

It is a promotion by B&N - Argos are selling the Simple Touch at £29 and the Simple Touch GlowLight at £69 too. They are nice, competitive devices, but in my opinion are seriously let down by the Nook Web book store which isn't a patch on the Amazon store - though it is slowly improving.

Nice tip on the John Lewis (always have a soft spot for them) and am really temped in spite of my kindle adoration.

I saw that they were going to $29 in the US, but hadn't realised that the offer (not quite so good) was coming here.

I'm thinking of maybe picking one up for my children, but we'll see.

Nice thread.
Thanks,

nigel

John Lewis is already sold out.  Just as I went in to take the plunge!

Trying elsewhere.

Big Grin RE: Nook £29 @ Blackwell's

Blackwell's online are now selling the simple touch at £29 again. Apparently they're the only people getting it. Worth a look if anyone's in need of a cheap one. I bought a spare! Shy
