In a word - grim.
Although that's better than feeling like I'd been run over, which I did earlier in the week.

What an ass-hole. if you tracked him down, he's probably living in his mothers basement with no friends or life of his own. People will never understand the work that goes into writing until they do it their self and judging by that idiotic review, we should be grateful he hasn't. I'm glad your laughing past it.

Good to know you are feeling a teeny bit better, David. I hope it's just a question of getting better every day now.

My favourite jolt review is a Goodreads' reviewer who, initially, gave Hide in Time three stars, which equates to 'I liked it'. The reviewer got chatting to another reviewer (all there in comments section for me to see) and soon downgraded it to two stars. It is now, for all to see, on his 'rubbish pile'. It serves to wake me up!

Obviously felt pestered by the Amazon "review this item wot you just bought" email. Sometimes that can be a two-edged sword. Fortunately I think mot potential readers can see and disregard such reviews. The damage they do though, is to your average, particularly if you want to but advertising from sites that require a minimum score.

Yes, Tim, very true. Luckily this is a freebie with 130 reviews, half of which are 5*.
And, to be fair, I once had a 5* review from someone who hadn't read the book yet but was very happy with the download process.

These things even themselves out like poor refereeing decisions.
