Sounds as bad as the Random House/Hydra contract scandal over the past few weeks. I'm sure we've all clicked on the Agree button to get into a web site, but there are times, especially when it comes to royalties, fees and IP that it really does pay to read the small print.

Just to say Kristine Kathryn Rusch writes a great business blog - I've been following it for a while, not least because she was one of my favourite fantasy authors long before I'd published anything myself!

Also worth buying is her Freelancer's Survival Guide, which collects together all her business posts in an ebook - I've just finished reading it for the second time.
