Thanks George.
That's what I thought. I'm not in Select, so if I decide to give Bookbub a go, I'll have to put the price up for a limited time like the furniture stores do before they reduce a sofa to 'half price'.

You're welcome, Mads. I think much of my furniture has been bought from one of those "sales".

If you do decide to give Bookbub a go, I'd strongly recommend having the book in B&N Nook and Apple iBookstore before. I had virtually no presence in both before, but the Bookbub promo has dramatically changed that. Kobo, although nowhere near as successful, is also worth a shot.

RE: Draft2Digital: The full report.

Many thanks for all of the posts here, I've just been lurking and learning cos I didn't have much input.

However I've decided to take the plunge and go with D2D for non-Amazon outlets.

One question on document submission:

Is it only me or does it take an age to upload anything when you hit the submit button?

RK.

Uploading the book and all the Gubbins took only a couple of seconds, RK. Waiting for it to go live varies.

As I'm not in Select, my book is in pretty much every store under the sun through Smashwords. I've sold a fair amount on Apple, but sales in the other stores have been sporadic at best. Another reason to give Bookbub a go at some point, though it'll be hard to emulate your success. Probably once I have another book out.

Thanks for that, George. I think it was a false alarm. My first upload just hung there with the progress bar halfway, but I think it was my browser playing up.

RE: Draft2Digital: The full report.

Just wanted to thank everyone on this thread, really. Perhaps especially Damien for starting it. Uploaded two books on D2D a week ago. Increadibly easy!
Although... it was uncomfortable seeing the "Total sales - ever = 0!" staring back from the screen. That should change... perhaps... with a little bit of luck... and whatever it takes...

Seconded. Thanks Damien.

I uploaded all of my titles yesterday, very simple.
