Good morning from Derby

Hello everyone,

Received my Kindle yesterday, late gift from hubby. I am hoping it will help me read in bed without my glasses, and that I can take on hols instead of 6 library books!

Happy New Year to all

Welcome Jill Hello

It might have been a late gift but one definitely worth waiting for wouldn't you say? Big Grin ..and it's the gift that keeps on giving. You'll find yourself loving it just as much months down the line.

Look forward to seeing around the forum.

RE: Good morning from Derby

Hello again all and thanks for the welcomes!

Well, so far today all I have done is run to my daughters houses to show them my new "toy" and test that the 3G works, played with the menus, set up some favourite websites, read the user guide and joined this forum, and read a lot of posts. Reading Kindle

I just went to empty the dishwasher which I had forgotten to switch on !! haven't started my ironing, haven't hoovered..........!!

And........ I haven't even begun to look for books yet Rolleyes

I'm afraid that's it Jill. There is no escape now! I have yesterday and today off work and had a long list of things to do that were way overdue. At least today I have managed to move the ironing pile into the kitchen, now I just need to set up the ironing board etc, but first....Tongue

Yep, thats it now Jill.

My husband says its the worse item i've purchased & i'm to go back to my ipod because at least then i was "reading on the move" { audible}, staying clear of forums, & paperbacks were always on my bedside table.

Ha ha! Still spring is on its way & i will be out working in the garden then with my ipod { i think? or will i be sat out there with my Kindle?} Omg no!
