RE: Lovefilm Instant hidden gems?

I've found the best way for me to browse for and find films is to use the amazon home page search and add to watch list. Something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk...

Has anyone else come across the TV series GRIMM, which you can stream for free on Lovefilm? Very, very, very thinly based on the tales of the Brothers Grimm, it's actually quite an inventive and sometimes even fairly gruesome supernatural show.

I've watched all four seasons of Grimm! It's a little lightweight but entertaining stuff, and as you say, sometimes surprisingly gruesome. It has turned out to be much better than I expected when I first started watching.

I've watched it all too and agree with you DW. It's highly entertaining but yes it is lightweight. I've enjoyed seeing what sort of beast they can come up with next though.
Good stuff.

I very much enjoyed Grimm at first, and admired the way that it could get quite nasty. But two seasons in, it's becoming a bit samey and Monroe -- who I always found a little irritating -- is really starting to wear on me. I'm not saying I won't watch it any more, simply less frequently.

Part of the reason is my new attachment to Heroes. I didn't take to it when it first appeared, possibly because I missed the first couple of episodes. But now I'm streaming it from the beginning, and absolutely loving it.

I loved Heroes when it was shown on tv the first time. I thought the gradual unveiling of the story was very clever. My favourite characters were HRG and Peter Petrelli. Actually I named a family in my long-running mystery series after the Petrellis..
