Anyone for an e-ink watch?

E-ink have been demonstrating an e-ink watch at CES this week. The watch is based on a flexible e-ink display and in my opinion is quite fugly so I won't be looking to buy one any time soon Big Grin

It's early days for this technology, but you can expect your smartphones to be wrist-worn and completely flexible/extendible within the next ten years! Same for future Kindles... they will become super-tablets that can be rolled up and shoved in your pocket. This is just the start!

The Pebble (another e-ink watch) is due for launch end of the month.

Looks like 2013 might be the year for smartwatches that hook up to your phone.

RE: Anyone for an e-ink watch?

The watches are horrible, they look like something you get slapped onto your wrist at a theme park. I haven't actually worn a watch for years though, ever since a flare up of psoriasis struck which was so foul that even my watch made me suffer. I rely on my phone as a watch now and don't know if I could ever go back to actually looking at my wrist to tell the time now.
