No images on websites using Kindle Fire

When viewing a website the images and pictures etc only appear as empty boxes, is this a problem with the Amazon Silk browser or do I need to enable a setting. Would another web browser help?

RE: No images on websites using Kindle Fire

There is a Silk setting to control the loading of images which defaults to loading and displaying them. To check how it's set:
  • Drag down from the top of the screen to get the system menu.
  • Tap on the [(+) More...] button at the top right of the menu.
  • Select "Applications" from the "Settings" menu.
  • Select "Silk" from the "Applications" menu.
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the "Settings" menu. The first item in the "Advanced" section is a "Load images" checkbox. This should have a tick in it if you want images to be displayed.

I tried what you said, box WAS ticked, so your tip did not work.
I did 'reset to default'  hey presto!1 that worked.
