problem downloading apps

My wife and I both uwrapped our kindle fire HDs today and we are very happy with them. However, we have one problem that has been dribving us mad for a couple of hours.

I downloaded the BBC Iplayer app and it works great so my wife tried to download it, but she got a messages saying that she had already purchase it and to look in the library. She looked in the cloud and the device, but it isn't there.

The same thing happened to me when I tried to download the rightmove app that she'd already downloaded. I got the asmae message but it isn't in my cloud or anywhere else. At first I thought it might be because they are free apps and it only allows 1 to be downloaded but we both downloaded the freecell app without any problems.

Any help appreciated.

RE: problem downloading apps

It really should be showing in the cloud, so it could be a glitch aat the Amazon end, I'm guessing there must be millions of people downloading apps today, so it could just be delayed.

Thanks Lou, it's been a few hours already, but I'll give it a while longer and see what happens.

RE: problem downloading apps

My problem seems to be that although I bought my kindle in the UK I live in Spain. I can buy books thro the Amazon account I've had for years but not apps - I keep being asked to check my registered address. I can't be the only one I'm sure - is there a thread that can help? It's incredibly frustrating!!
Thanks in advance Smile
