Hi an someone tell me if they have managed to get rid of the amazon adverts that appear on the fire hd when i start it up

Don't you have to pay to have the adverts removed?
was about £15 if I remember rightly.

Just had a quick squint on the Amazon site, and the option is there to buy the Fire with or without 'special offers' (ads), the difference is £10, no idea if you can opt out once bought though.

I believe it is possible to have it changed once you have purchased it. On the Amazon website, it says it costs £10 and you have to contact Customer Services once you have registered your Kindle.
Only happy when I am immersed in a good Kindle book Thumbs Up

contact customer services by phone or email ,go to kindle support on amazon site ask the nice "man" at amazon politely and usually "he" will turn them off for you usually they do it for free ........

Yep, they still turn them off for free when asked to via their webchat. Just did this for my aunt for her new kindle fire. No need to pay.

I was thinking of turning off the adverts until I learned about Amazon's flash sales where they offer a limited number of products at ridiculously low prices for one hour. In the past two months, we were able to buy a Kindle Paperwhite for $19 and a Kuerig  coffee maker for $20.
