Getting movies from PC

Hi - 1st post here so please be gentle!

Just 'upgraded' from a Kindle to a Kindle Fire and I am hoping to put some of my own videos onto the Kindle to watch as and when.

I copied a file to the movies folder and it does appear to be there when I look via Windows explorer but when I try to find it on the Fire it says no video files available.

Is it correct to assume that Fire does not see .avi files ? What format files will it recognise?

ANy help appreciated and thanks in advance.

Huh

Great reply - and speedy too.

Thumbs Up Groovy Clapping hands

I must admit I didn't search - just saw this as a relatively new forum so checked the 'subject' of a couple of posts

The file format list you gave has been cut and saved - and Handbrake is now on my desktop, so thanks to Lou too!

Thumbs Up
