Dickens here, I'd just like to say many congratulations to Mr Rance. The best man won. Maybe my next title will crack the KUF bookclub. No wait... I'm dead.

How I would love to be able to sit and have a conversation with Dickens, it would be amazing. Thumbs Up

Yes, it would. I suspect it would be fun as well as fascinating. He belonged to a social circle that enjoyed giving parties that lasted for days and where immense amounts of alcohol were consumed.

Tony

But by that time Stu will have moved onto another Dickens and will nominate that one. Smile

I'm glad to hear that this book won! Although I do like Dickens, I don't have so much time to read at the mo and doubt I would have read a Dickens novel in time to join in with the discussions!!

I downloaded this a while ago and have been looking forward to reading it - it has now jumped the queue to next read, after I have finished my current read.
