What I Read

3G on/off

I have had my Kindle for a number of weeks now and when I use Wireless the 3G is always on. However, today the 3G keeps switching off leaving the job to our very weak Wi-Fi. Maybe this is a problem with the sender of the signal or perhaps the 3G sensor in the Kindle is going wrong. What IS normal with Wireless on Kindle keyboard 3G?

I have the KK 3G and when I'm at home, WiFi usually kicks in, but occasionally, if the internet has been down or the signal weak (if I'm in the garden, for instance), the 3G comes on. WiFi is the default if you are within a wireless signal, so it could be that your WiFi has been too weak up to now.

This is the thing, Wi-Fi has never kicked in before. But, I have been searching the net and someone has mentioned that if you live out of the UK (which I do), you have a limit of 50Mb in a month. So, maybe this is why my 3G is not working, because I have had to use my Kindle a lot in the last week.
